St Ursula's College, Yeppoon, is the only all Girls Catholic Boarding and Day Secondary College in Central Queensland. Founded in 1918 by the Presentation Sisters, generations of staff and students have maintained and nurtured our proud Presentation history. Through all educational opportunities offered by the College, we strive to preserve and continue the Presentation charism and legacy of Nano Nagle, Foundress of the Presentation Order. In living out the College Motto, 鈥淧erfice Gressus Meos" (Perfect My Steps), we advocate six key values: Faith, Excellence, Respect, Simplicity, Compassion, and Hospitality.

St Ursula's College offers a comprehensive curriculum catering for diverse pathways and student interests. Programs are designed to meet the needs of young women in the 21st century; our students are encouraged to be critical thinkers, creative and collaborative in learning, who are innovative in seeking opportunities beyond the contemporary classroom. By fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, we empower students to become lifelong learners and prepare them for the challenges of the future.

Pedagogical practices and personal wellbeing programs reflect an understanding of the learning styles and developmental needs of girls. Each student is involved in Pastoral Care programs created on the principles of positive psychology and a growth mindset.

Boarding is an important dimension of College life and provides girls with attractive and comfortable living spaces; caring and capable staff assist with their learning and personal development needs. The seaside environment, community spirit evident in the Capricorn Coast area, and proximity of services in nearby Rockhampton enrich the living and learning opportunities of all our students.

Our Values
Respect, Faith, Excellence, Compassion, Hospitality, and Simplicity, are the six core Values which underpin the Vision and Mission of St Ursula鈥檚 College.

Respect
We believe in the dignity of each person and encourage all to treat others with consideration and courtesy, acknowledging the value of other viewpoints and life experiences. We strive to ensure that all members of the College community are treated with fairness and equity.

Faith
We seek to make students aware of our rich Catholic heritage, nurturing this as the source of Catholic identity and living. We strive to build upon the faith and commitment of the Presentation Sisters who founded the College by providing Religious Education and experiences of prayer, liturgy and social action that make the faith dimension of this College life-giving and relevant.

Excellence
We believe that each human being is endowed with individual gifts that deserve recognition and development. We strive to promote an environment where all are encouraged and enabled to develop their potential and experience success according to personal capabilities and circumstances.

Compassion
We believe we have a responsibility for the well-being of others in and beyond our community, particularly those who are suffering or vulnerable. We strive to develop a sense of concern for others and a spirit of service so that this concern is expressed and enacted.

Hospitality
We believe that a Christian community is inclusive. We strive to develop a sense of welcome and an acceptance of others such that all in the community are inspired to demonstrate a willingness to share their talents and cultures to enhance life for all. We promote and model reconciliation and strive to restore relationships when conflict or division occur.

Simplicity
We value all of creation and the interconnectedness of life. We strive to develop a sense of appreciation for our physical environment and personal resources. We promote good stewardship and social responsibility rather than a focus on material possessions.

St Ursula鈥檚 College is committed to creating progressive, worldly women through:

Promotion of social justice through education;
Development of leadership skills;
Encouragement to strive towards goals;
Participation in society, as responsible citizens; and
Faith development through Religious Education.
Our Vision
St Ursula鈥檚 College is a vibrant Faith community providing a holistic Catholic education and residential environment through which young women are encouraged to realise their potential; founded on the charism of Nano Nagle and the values of the Presentation Sisters; yet, responsive to the demands created by the social dynamics of the 21st Century.
Our Mission
We declare that the mission of St Ursula鈥檚 College is to continue the mission of Jesus, living and proclaiming the Gospel values to all people, especially in our school community, with fidelity, joy and enthusiasm.

Our mission demands that we create an environment where the Gospel values 鈥 both in daily living and in the learning situation 鈥 can be critically examined, clearly understood and responsibly acted upon.

This demands serious and courageous involvement in the field of education and in the practice of justice in our efforts to transform the world.

St Ursula鈥檚 College, Yeppoon, was founded in 1918 by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (PBVM) and is a Ministry of Mercy Partners. As an independent Catholic Day and Boarding Secondary College, St Ursula鈥檚 offers an education for young women of the future based on gospel values and Nano Nagle鈥檚 vision, with a particular commitment to:

The promotion of, and education for, justice;
The development of leadership;
Encouraging students to strive towards reaching their potential; and
Preparing students to participate fully and responsibly in society.

This vision sees an emphasis on an educational environment where the gospel values are experienced both in daily living and through authentic and engaging learning experiences, developing critical and future-focussed learners.

At St Ursula鈥檚 College, we offer girls in Years 7-12 a holistic, comprehensive, faith-filled Secondary education encompassing academic and skills and training pathways to tertiary study and/or employment. We celebrate every student and their unique abilities; this dynamic culture produces strong, confident young women, capable of forging a positive path for themselves by embracing the College motto of 'Perfice Gressus Meos' (Perfect My Steps).

Our Boarding House, Yumba-Gy-You, is located on campus, nestled in the foothills of the Yeppoon Central Business District, within walking distance to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Yeppoon has a population of 18,100 residents and is a safe and friendly close-knit community on the Capricorn Coast in tropical Queensland.

St Ursula鈥檚 College aspires to empower young women to confidently and purposefully embrace life's opportunities with authenticity, compassion and curiosity.聽
